If you are just getting started, or want another challenge after building the K2, try the new K1-4, our Four Band CW, 5W, transceiver. The K1 is microprocessor controlled like the K2 and it includes a built in digital frequency display and CW Memory keyer. Its low receive current (@58 mA) and light weight (1.4 lb.) make it ideal for portable operation. (Also available in two bands as the K1-2.)

Easy to Build, Understand and Repair
The Elecraft's wireless design methodology eliminates most point-to-point wiring inside the radio. Boards plug directly into each other to form a clean, rugged and open design. All boards are easily accessible for test, alignment and repair. The K1, KX1 and K2 utilize only through-hole user installed components for easy construction.

Lab Equipment Not Required
Both the K1 and K2 include built in test equipment to make alignment and test quick and easy, without requiring a lab full of expensive test equipment. Built in equipment includes a digital voltmeter, ammeter, frequency counter and RF power meter. Microprocessor based self-alignment firmware speeds the testing of your kit.
