Special Edition HEXKEY 

High Performance Dual Lever CW Paddle

Elecraft and Bencher have teamed up to produce the Elecraft Special Edition HEXKEY. This is high performance dual lever paddle uses the same basic mechanism as the famous Mercury paddle. Its magnetically tensioned precision chrome mechanism sits on a black solid metal hexagonal base. (This key will not wander around the table when you are chasing that rare DX station!) High quality gold contacts insure reliable sending. Both contact spacing and tension for each arm are individually adjustable. The feel of this paddle is superb and its positive feedback and contact closure   makes sending CW with the Elecraft HEXKEY a pleasure.

Each Elecraft HEXKEY comes with a unique Elecraft serial number stamped on the bottom side of its base. (Serial numbers start with 'E001') The base measures 4.5 inches across diagonally.

Subject: [Elecraft] New Hex Key is Great!

Thanks to Eric of Elecraft for delivering Hex Key # E006 to me at
Pacificon yesterday. Today I wired it up and it felt terrific. What
better way to break it in than the FOC Bill Windle QSO Party? This is
a club that celebrates everything good about CW, so I jumped in and
made a few dozen Qs with the new key, sending everything manually and
logging in my general QSO log. Not only does this paddle feel good,
but also I immediately noticed I was sending better, with far fewer
errors than usual. It's a bargain compared to the list price at OEM
Bencher (a fine outfit, too) and makes a great addition to the shack.

For those of you who enjoy working some great CW ops, try the BW QSO
Party going on right now. If you aren't an FOC member, just send RST
and your name. Members send RST, name and member number.

As as cw op forever, I gotta tell you, this is absolutely the cat's
meow. I was able to play with one for a half hour or so...

I will have to have one. Do not expect to take that refugee from
the weight room back packing but in the home QTH, it is at the top
of the heap of all I have touched.
