5-year Anniversary Poster/T-Shirt Design Contest

January 2004 is the official 5-year anniversary of Elecraft. As part of the festivities, we'd like to tap your creative abilities with a  T-Shirt/Poster design competition. In the past, our customers have turned out beautiful designs for QSL cards, posters, even screen-savers, so we know there's a wealth of artistic talent out there!

The winning designer will receive a $100 Elecraft gift certificate, not to mention glory, fame, job offers, etc.

The winning design will be made available on our web site as both a full-color poster suitable for framing, and as a high-quality, 4-color-process, silk-screened T-Shirt. We'll be giving away some posters and T-shirts in conjunction with EQP, and may also use them in future sales promotions. You might even see your handiwork in mega-size at our Dayton booth in May.

Suggested themes for poster/T-shirt designs include: Elecraft products, our 5th anniversary, kit building, and outdoor operation. Consider using colors from our present palette (see K2, K1, and KX1 manual front covers and the radios themselves). Designs can include original artwork, text, and photographs, and should be intriguing when viewed from a distance of 20 feet (6 m). T-shirts will be white to best highlight the artwork. The poster design will be printed on the back of the shirt, and we'll be supplying the art for the front (small Elecraft logo and logotype).

Designs should be sent *only* to art@elecraft.com  in the form of a high-resolution .jpg or .pdf file (300 DPI minimum for *all* source artwork, photos, and text). If you use Adobe Illustrator, save your .ai file--if your design is selected, we may use it rather than the .pdf. Media size should be 8.5 x 11 inches (we'll scale it up as needed). Maximum acceptable file size is 5 MB. Deadline for submissions is March 31st, and designs will become the property of Elecraft. No more than two submissions per person, please.

Thanks in advance for helping us kick off our next five years!
