Subject: K2 custom free for whole European Union

This evening I phoned Stefan (DL1FDF and VY1QRP) who did all the paperwork with the German custom admin. He told me, that the custom free declaration of K2,
K2SSB, K2160m and K2NB is based on EU law. That means, the K2 and its accessories should be custom free (only vat has to be paid) for all members
of EU starting January 1st 2000 for the next 6 Years.
The problem will be, that we have only German language papers and as the German custom admin people said, the computer net integration of EU is not
so fast as it should be. So if you go to your custom admin, may be they do not know about this fact.
What can you do?
Take the numbers we got by German customs.
they are:
8525 2099 00 **** **** 0*** for K2
8529 9040 00 **** **** 0*** for the accessories
and tell your local custom this numbers. If they do not find them in their computer, ask them to request them from
German custom because this is EU LAW.
May be the German language PDF file also helps, it are original scanned custom papers.
