KPA100 2 Amp Fuses

Background
The kit is normally supplied with two 20 amp fast acting fuses under Elecraft Part Number E980050. During the time frame above, a small percentage of kits included
2 amp slow-blow fuses instead. These would not last for more than a moment when transmitting, and much time could be wasted troubleshooting a good amp simply due to the wrong type of fuse.
Part Identification
Using a magnifying glass, examine the fuses that were included in your kit. The correct type fuse will have “312” stamped on one of the silver end caps. The wrong type has “313” stamped on it. Also note the physical details in the photos below.
In the photo above, the correct type of fuse is on the left, the wrong type is on the right.
In the photo above, note the difference in the shape of the fuse elements between
the correct type on the left, and the wrong type on the right..
Replacement procedure
If you have confirmed that you received the wrong type fuses, please email parts@elecraft.com for a free replacement set of two correct E980050.
